Early careers and apprenticeships
If a structured approach to your learning and development is right for you, one of our apprenticeships could be the best starting point for your BM career.

An apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to start work straight after your school exams – rather than going to college or university. You can gain valuable qualifications, and earn a salary at the same time.
We provide opportunities to study a wide range of hospitality-related NVQ courses. As well as front-of-house and kitchen activities, these also cover management, including leadership, supervision, operational management and business administration.
Courses range from educational levels 2 to 5 (undergraduate degree level). They typically last between 12 and 24 months, depending on the subject and level you study. Entry requirements include a minimum of three years as a European resident, along with a pre-assessment in Maths and English, where you’ll need to achieve an entry level 3 (GCSE grade D).
Our apprenticeships are a great way to build your skills and knowledge, and to start achieving your career ambitions. If you think this might be for you, please email [email protected] and we’ll contact you to arrange an initial assessment.
“I completed the practical Cookery apprenticeship, fully funded by BM, and it gave me the confidence to apply for a Chef position. With BM's support, I became a Relief Chef Manager, gaining invaluable experience across different kitchens. When the Chef Manager role opened up, I jumped at the chance.”
Craig Inglis, Chef Manager
