What we do

Culinary creativity for innovators in beauty

Restaurant environment with salad bar in foreground

From offices in White City, London, a world-leading beauty company develops and promotes its famous ranges of cosmetics, haircare and perfume. Here, our 16-strong culinary team meets the demands of highly creative branding, marketing and style experts.

The services we offer have to be as innovative as the people who enjoy them – around 600 employees each day, as well as visitors, and delegates at the company’s training academy. These customers value not only quick, convenient dining, but also culinary inventiveness that reflects their own skills and interests. We see our role here as energising the creative processes that conceive and develop global beauty trends, with food, drink and hospitality being central to the workplace culture.

A comprehensive offer

As well as the catering for our client’s main London office, we also provide a full service in three regional distribution centres. In the main London restaurant, the extensive offer includes street food, traditional main meals, seasonal and sustainable deli, ‘grab and go’, salads and snacks. The café serves our Perkee Soppexcca Fairtrade coffee and Perkee Santo Organic coffee, as well as guest roasts with charity affiliations. Hospitality includes working lunches, fork buffets, and custom catering for events such as product launches, awards ceremonies and the opening of the training academy.

Attracting and retaining customers

At the start of our contract relationship, our client was moving to a new building in White City, so we had to maintain services at their existing premises while building and running the catering in their new home. To help launch our services while dual running the two locations, we designed and produced a teaser video – and we maintain interest with ongoing communications on the company’s internal channels. We also introduced free food on Fridays and free fruit on Mondays to encourage people to come into the office, rather than work from home. Other ideas to sharpen appetites include fortnightly pop-up chef events and Food Lab menus that test the popularity of new food offers.

Technology is another tool we use to make our services even more attractive, and to maximise efficiency. Our investments here include an online booking platform, an automated till system and dynamic digital signs.

Sustainability is also important to the company, its employees and visitors. The restaurant and café are disposable-free zones, and new customers receive a welcome pack containing reusable coffee cups and water bottles, personalised with their names engraved on them – all reinforcing the company’s forward-looking attitude.

“Thank you for your support in preparing for and delivering today’s launch of our training academy. No matter what hurdles we faced, you and your team helped find solutions and, crucially, carried them out without a hitch. The catering arrangements were spot on. We really do appreciate your support.”
