Cheese Scones

Cheese scones

No Jubilee celebrations would be complete without a scone, these cheese scones are an absolute must.

Method

  • Place all the flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and tartare into a bowl. Add the butter and rub in using your fingers.
  • Once fully combined, stir though the cheese and finally the milk. Only mix until it just comes together and chill for 20 mins.
  • Roll out gently on a lightly floured surface and cut into round or squares.
  • Glaze the top with either beaten egg or cream and bake at 190ºC for 10 mins
