Chocolate and nut tiffin

This chocolate and nut tiffin transforms leftover cakes, biscuits and pantry scraps into a rich, co-bake treat with layers of crunch and chew.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup together in a pan

  2. Blitz the cake off cuts into a crumb, don’t worry if it becomes a paste. Stir this into the chocolate mix until it is fully incorporated.

  3. Save a handful of the chopped nuts and pretzels back to decorate the top.

  4. Mix with the rest of the ingredients and place into a 30cm x 20 cm tray and push the reserved nut and pretzels on to the top. Chill overnight.

  5. Cut into portions the following day.
