Nutmeg and custard yo-yo
These nutmeg and custard yo-yo are a great treat at any time and a lovely addition to any picnic.
Method
- For the biscuit, cream butter and sugar together, add custard powder and plain flour and mix until combined.
- Roll the dough in a sausage like shape in cling film and chill for 30 mins
- Cut into 24 discs, lay onto a lined or non-stick baking sheet and grate over the nutmeg on the biscuits
- Bake at 165c for 15-20 mins and allow to cool
- Make the filling by beating the butter, icing sugar and custard powder together until smooth and fluffy.
- Pipe or spoon the filling on to 12 of the biscuit discs and top with the other 12 giving a little press to make sure the sandwich together
