Nutrition Manager
I promote nutrition through inspiring roadshows and other communications, helping customers, clients and our own people make informed choices.
My work also includes creating nutritious, yet delicious, menus, using local seasonal ingredients, as well as analysing our recipes to ensure we comply with allergen requirements (Natasha’s Law) and calorie regulations. I aim to demystify nutrition, making it accessible to all, and fostering a culture of enjoyable, healthy eating. In particular, I understand the individual nature of nutrition, and that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to dietary guidelines.
Before joining BM, I worked as a nutritionist in education, developing menus and supporting recipe development to comply with legislation and accreditations. I also developed and delivered training programmes for school caterers, aimed at improving food choices and purchasing, and increasing the uptake of school meals.
My fascination with food probably began one summer in Ireland, when I went fruit picking with my nan. We took our harvest straight home and made different fruit pies – there’s nothing like a freshly baked pie, straight out of the oven with a dollop of cream!
